Portland Razor Co. will be attending the 3rd annual Whiskeytown USA in Portland this weekend as a vendor. Come check us out to get a first look at our new Artisan straight razors, handmade badger brushes, and shaving soaps by Craftsman Soap Company!

This event will take us away from the workshop for a few days, meaning no razors will be made during that time. We apologize for this delay; we know many of you have been waiting longer than expected and we understand this can be frustrating at times. We are exceedingly grateful for your patience and we appreciate your faith in us! We are confident our handmade straight razors will exceed your expectations and are well-worth the wait. We are actively scaling up production by adding new blade smiths, and if you or someone you know might be interested in becoming an apprentice at Portland Razor Co, you should check out our hiring notice!

Portland Razor Co. is looking to build its team of Makers and we are currently looking for help at our inner-SE Portland manufacturing facility.

In your inquiry, please include a general statement of interest, a brief work history (especially any experience you have working with your hands) and your level of familiarity with straight razors i.e. casual observer/veteran shaver. Please do not come to the shop expecting an interview; we appreciate you emailing ahead so we can set time aside from manufacturing to speak with you. 

We work in a manufacturing facility, which implies a certain level of inherent risk being around tools and machinery. Candidates should be absolutely comfortable operating power tools and working with their hands, and have a solid understanding of shop safety.

We are absolutely willing to train the right person. That said, the following is a list of helpful skills and experience:

• Leather Working
• Sewing
• Knife Sharpening
